Informal cooperation is of increasing meaning due to so-called Enterprise 2.0 technologies and social networks. Many authorities want to benefit from the advantages of informal cooperation in their own organisations without waiving orderly documentation.
Kinds of informal cooperation
Fabasoft eGov now has the right answer: the informal work area. At each station of the business process, the administrator can create an informal work area for a folder, copy documents from the folder into the work area and invite participants from different areas to cooperate in this work area. In this work area, the participants informally develop results and exchange their ideas for this purpose in a discussion forum. Through the Liferay portal integration, also external participants may be involved in the informal work area.
After having concluded the informal cooperation, the administrator can automatically transfer the work results into the folder again, resolve the informal work area and continue the formal routing. Thus the user can make use of the advantages of informal cooperation without having to abandon orderly documentation.
